BetterGrin, a product of CORDOC LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the BetterGrin website (bettergrin.com) and the BetterGrin iOS mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. BetterGrin is designed with a privacy-first approach. Your dental health data stays on your device.

Information We Collect

iOS App

The BetterGrin iOS app stores all data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not operate servers that receive your personal health data. Specifically:

• Dental habit data (brushing times, flossing logs, mouthwash usage, tongue scraping) is stored only on your device.
• Onboarding answers (dental goals, pain points, brushing frequency, dentist visit history) are stored only on your device to personalize your experience.
• Photos taken for the smile timelapse feature are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
• Apple Intelligence features use on-device processing. No data is sent to Apple or any third party for AI analysis.
• Subscription data is managed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Website

When you visit bettergrin.com, we may collect:

• Analytics data such as page views, browser type, and general location (city/country level) through standard web analytics tools.
• Email address if you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter.
• Photos uploaded for Grin Score are processed temporarily and not stored permanently on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the BetterGrin app and website
• To personalize your dental care plan and reminders
• To send newsletter emails (only if you subscribe)
• To analyze website traffic and improve content
• To process subscriptions through the Apple App Store

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes. Your dental health data from the iOS app never leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

Our services may use the following third-party providers:

• Apple App Store for subscription management and payment processing
• Apple WeatherKit for weather information in the briefing mode (location data is processed by Apple per their privacy policy)
• Vercel for website hosting
• Supabase for website backend services

Data Retention

iOS app data is stored on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the app removes all local data. Website analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. Newsletter subscriptions remain active until you unsubscribe.

Children's Privacy

BetterGrin is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app includes a Kids Mode for supervised use by parents or guardians.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete all your app data by uninstalling the app
• Unsubscribe from newsletters at any time
• Request information about what data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your website account data

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
